FIELD: audio signal rendering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an audio signal rendering method, and more specifically, to a rendering method for even more accurately representing the position of an audio image and timbre by modifying the lift pan gain or lift filter gain when an input channel rises above or below the rise according to a standard layout. The claimed method for rendering the rise of an audio signal includes: receiving a multi-channel signal including a plurality of input channels to be converted to a plurality of output channels; adding a preset delay to the front height input channel so as to allow each of the plurality of output channels to provide an audio image having a lift with a reference pitch angle; changing, based on the added delay, a lift rendering parameter relative to the front height input channel; and preventing front/rear channel confusion by generating, based on the changed lift rendering parameter, a surround output channel after the lift rendering delayed with respect to the front height input channel.
EFFECT: preventing distortion from occurring in the audio image when a channel signal such as a 22.2-channel signal is rendered into a 5.1-channel signal, 3D audio can be reproduced by using a 2D output channel, and when the input channel elevation angle is different from the standard elevation angle.
