FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining the patient's age and duration of hypertension, conducting duplex scanning of the brachiocephalic trunk, and measuring a diameter of the common carotid artery. The findings are used to calculate a logistic regression coefficient Z of left ventricular dysfunction (LVD) by original formula. If Z has a positive value, a probability of LVD development is considered to be high. If Z has a negative value, a probability of LVD development is considered to be low.
EFFECT: method enables the high-probability prediction of left ventricular dysfunction development by taking into account predictors.
