FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to hydrolysis industry, particularly, to biomass hydrolysis, primarily, from lignocelluloses or their mix with other materials and to mixing of biomass with enzymes for activation of hydrolysis. Enzyme reactor comprises reaction tank with rotary mixer. Reaction tank has biomass and enzyme feed inlet into reaction tank as the mix or separately, discharge opening and inner mixing chamber. Inner mixing chamber comprises first section and second section. Chamber first section is arranged above second section and features increasing cross-section area in direction from inlet to discharge opening located nearby chamber second section. Note here that said inlet is aligned with the chamber first section narrow end. Chamber second section has discharge opening and invariable cross-section area from the end located nearby wide end of chamber first section to inner mixing chamber discharge end whereat discharge opening is located. Rotary mixer is arranged inside said inner mixing chamber and aligned with the chamber first section. Said mixer extends radially from spinning shaft aligned with reaction tank, their length increasing with increase in chamber first section cross-section area. Mixing of said biomass performed with application of above described enzyme reactor. Note here that in processing mix thickness decreases by, at least 50% or 25% of that of biomass fed into reactor.

EFFECT: higher quality of enzymic processing at large mixing tanks, lower costs.
