SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication with multiple carriers. Switching of the primary carrier from the first carrier to the second carrier for UE is restricted to provide a possibility of making one or more positioning measurements. Restrictions can be active on a serving node of the network and/or on UE. Positioning restrictions can include configuration or reconfiguration of a device for making positioning measurements at measurement intervals on the second carrier in LTE systems when reference signals are not transmitted on the primary carrier.
EFFECT: provision of a possibility and improvement of efficiency of positioning.
