SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to fire protection of moving and stationary ground vehicles in case of fire or explosion of fuel in the fuel tank. The function of the protective device includes triggering a fire or explosion signal and transmitting said signal to pyrotechnic cartridges, which is carried out using tracking sensors and a control unit powered by an on-board vehicle network. When the sensor is triggered, the fuel pipe for feeding fuel from the tank to the consumers is disconnected first and closed by a check valve. Strip clamps for mounting the fuel tank are then released with a short delay. The last to be triggered with a delay is the pyrotechnic cartridge of the release mechanism of the fuel tank, which pushes the tank through a base plate from the frame, where the tank was situated in an operating position on skids with rollers, and throws off the tank by a safe distance from the vehicle.

EFFECT: high efficiency of protecting a ground vehicle from fire through quick removal of the fire source, the fuel tank, by a safe distance from the vehicle.
