FIELD: ground vehicles fire protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire protection for ground vehicles with external fuel tanks. The vehicle fire protection device comprises a removable channel-section base attached to the vehicle frame side member with brackets and turning limiters, a fuel tank holder comprising three L-shaped two-arm levers having through holes in the ends of the crossbars, united by longitudinal beams into a spatial structure. It additionally includes fuel cells, including fuel pipes, a fuel cock, an electric drive that includes a fuel tank switch and a device switch with a control lamp. The claimed device is equipped with a mechanical control drive, including a control valve. As part of additional fuel cells, a plug-type fuel valve with a mechanical and electromagnetic drive is used, containing an electromagnetic relay for controlling the fuel tank switch, two electromagnetic relays for controlling the rotation of the fuel valve plug and a limit switch. The electric drive is connected to a three-position electric switch for forced dumping of fuel tanks, two signal lamps for fuel tank fire and two blocks of fuel tank temperature sensors.

EFFECT: increased reliability due to automatic activation of the device when the fuel tank ignites.
