FIELD: ceramic production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ceramic production and can be used to obtain corundum material with high mechanical characteristics. A charge based on aluminum oxide includes electrocorundum powder, a sintering additive from a mixture of powders of aluminum-magnesium spinel and mullite in a mass ratio of L: (2–5) in an amount of 4.0–9.0% of the mass of dry components and a technological binder of in the form of an aqueous solution of synthamide with the concentration of 0.5–2.0% in the amount of 5.0–15.0 wt.% over the weight of the dry ingredients. Also described is a method for obtaining a mixture based on aluminum oxide.
EFFECT: increasing the strength of corundum ceramics, reducing labor intensity, the time of preparation of the charge and energy consumption in the implementation of the method.
