FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: saturated steam approximating to critical point of phase transition is created in analysed medium. Flat laser beams passing through blast wave source are forced through the medium to register optical field perpendicular to the beam path plane. Additionally, dust is added to propagation medium for formation of condensation centres or ionising radiation is used for their development. Device for process implementation comprises blast wave source located in closed spherical volume. Said spherical volume is connected via pipes with steam and dust sources. Sphere bottom part arranged are: ionising source, heater, pressure and temperature transducers. Optical registrator (TV camera) is arranged in the sphere top part. Four lasers with flat expansion lenses are arranged in horizontal plane at 90 degrees.

EFFECT: higher resolution and accuracy of measurements.
