FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: mortar round contains a mortar shell with the aerodynamic surfaces hingedly attached on its body with the ability to turn. At the ends of the aerodynamic surfaces the shaped cutouts are made, in which a locking ring is mounted, having the longitudinal grooves on the number of the aerodynamic surfaces. The mortar shell body is made with a shank to secure the aerodynamic surfaces. The shaped cutouts of the aerodynamic surfaces are made in the form of intersecting longitudinal and transverse cutouts. The locking ring has a flange at the end opposite to the recesses for interaction with the transverse cutouts. Inside the hinges the elements of opening and fixing the opened fins are mounted.
EFFECT: improved accuracy and firing range.
