FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: possible speed mode violations can be caused by damage as a slipper on working surfaces of mounted axle rolling. Proposed method allows the rail protection against shock effects from damaged wheel and prevents wheel wear buildup in motion to the nearest stationary servicing station. "False tire" is mounted at damaged wheel band and composed of a prefabricated leaf structure to be uniformly pressed against the wheel by screw couplings. Note here that outer working surface of "false tire" complies with theoretical profile and overall dimensions of theoretical profile and overall dimensions of sound wheel tire. Space between inner working surface of "false tire" and wear site on slipper section is filled with paste of composite material that can be quickly hardened and can preserve high strength in as-hardened state.
EFFECT: maintenance of normal speed, higher railway traffic safety.
