FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: pneumatic spiked tire is implemented with a possibility of change of the nature of the bearing area of the tire tread by change of internal working pressure where nails are provisioned at the edges of the protector tread in one row in each row of shoulder sets of the protector. At the working pressure in the tire lowered by 0.03 MPa compared with the average level of nominal pressure the nails are located in the zone of contact of the protector tread with the paving and adhere it. When creating in the tire of the working pressure increased by 0.03 MPa from the average level of nominal pressure the nature of the bearing area of the tire tread changes, and the nails are brought out of the zone of contact with the road.
EFFECT: reliability of road adherence of the tire tread in any weather conditions, safety and efficiency of tires both in winter, and in summer service conditions.
