FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: tension device of the belt conveyor contains the drum (1) bridged by the belt and fixed on the carriage (3) with the suspended load (2) installed on vertical guides, and the carriage catching mechanism with the drum and the load formed by fixed vertical guides (11) of the gear rack and the spring-loaded two-arm lever (4) installed on the carriage, one arm which has a roller (6), contacting with the belt (7), and another arm has a tooth for interaction with a gear rack (9). Arms of the two-arm spring-loaded lever of the carriage catching mechanism with the drum and the load are mutually arranged at the obtuse angle. The arm contacting with the gear rack is implemented in the form of a tooth the lower part if which forms sharp angle. Hollows of the gear rack reproduce the tooth shape. At interaction with the hollow the tooth densely engages it, preventing load falling.
EFFECT: device reliability improvement.
