SUBSTANCE: invention refers to communication engineering and medicine, and concerns a method for real-time remote informational support of surgeons by means of digital operating rooms provided with audio and video communication equipment. The method involves: recording a video image of a surgical site, transforming the video image into a digital video stream, transmitting the digital video stream by communication channels, transforming the digital video stream into the video image and presenting it to a medical adviser, maintaining a duplex audio communication between the surgeon and medical adviser with the medical adviser presented with two video stream from cameras attached to a surgeon's headband above his/her eyes in the form of a three-dimensional image with synchronising the images accurate to mutual time shifts of no more than intervals leading to disturbed space perception of the transmitted video image.

EFFECT: improved quality of the three-dimensional image transmission by the surgeon.
