SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing methylbenzyl alkoxysilanes by reacting methyl alkoxysilane, benzyl chloride and magnesium metal in the absence of organic solvents.
EFFECT: method is technologically effective and provides high output of methylbenzyl alkoxysilanes, which are suitable for synthesis of novel methylbenzyl siloxane polymers.
