FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of organosiloxane polymers and in particular to a method for obtaining polymethylsilsesquioxanes soluble in organic solvents using methyltrialkoxysilanes as starting compounds. A method is proposed for obtaining polymethylsilsesquioxane soluble in organic solvents, which includes hydrolytic polycondensation of methyltrialkoxysilane of the general formula MeSi(OAlk)3, where Alk denotes С1-С2 alkyl in the absence of organic solvents and catalysts, while the reaction is carried out at a molar ratio of MeSi(OAlk)3 and water from 1:1.5 to 1:9 at a temperature of 30-50°C by irradiating the reaction mixture with microwave radiation with a power of 20 W-300 W for 5-300 minutes.
EFFECT: creating an economical and environmentally friendly method for obtaining soluble polymethylsilsesquioxanes without the use of organic solvents and catalysts, and, accordingly, without the need to isolate and purify the product.
