SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Device comprises gas generator, piston 21 sliding in tube 16 to shut off compression chamber 20 in tube 16. Said pressure can be developed with the help of gas generator 17 to make piston displace in tensioning motion to be transferred to safety belt via inertial element 19a abutting on end surface 9 of piston 21. Piston 21 has through opening 1 to be released at excess preset pressure. Besides, recess 26 is made at said end surface 9 through which hydraulic joint is made at abutting inertial element 19a between through hole 1 and space 25 located in tensioning motion direction S behind piston 21. Piston 21 consists of at least two parts, its first part 3 abutting on inner wall of tube 16 and second part 4 supporting end surface 9. Second part 4 features higher strength that first part 3.
EFFECT: higher reliability.
