FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of coating by immersion of the movable steel strip (16) by its movement in the liquid bath (9) of metal, such as zinc or metal alloy, and unit for its implementation. The method includes movement of the steel strip (16) in liquid bath (9) of metal or metal alloy in tank (15), at that reguli are removed produced during coating application and floating on surface (10) of the bath (9), this is performed using at least one inductor (11-14, 29). Under the method the inductors (11-14, 29) are used, each of them generates sliding electromagnetic field oriented in set direction, and generating the magnetomotive force moving the said reguli towards the tank (19) for their gathering and/or towards zone (25) of the surface (10) of the bath (9) from which they are removed. At that reguli flows are periodically measured inside the tank (15) by change of direction of the sliding electromagnetic field, of at least one of the said inductors (11-14, 29) to the opposite direction.

EFFECT: effective removal of low density reguli floating on the galvanizing bath surface.
