FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses fabrication of conveyor belt cloth reinforcement whereat at least two plies of cloth are embedded into cloth reinforcement. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. (1) Cloth is impregnated with binding agent in plastisol to get the cloth with coating. (2) Plastisol ply is applied between two or more plies of cloth with coating to make the belt carcass. (3) The latter is continuously fed to dual belt press. The latter compacts impregnated cloths with ply (plies) of plastisol at the pressure of at least 5 feet per square inch (34500 Pa) to make preformed cloth carcass. (4) The latter is heated from about 360°F (182°C) to about 450°F (232°C) for at least 6 minutes. (5) Now, cloth carcass is continuously withdrawn from said dual cloth press.
EFFECT: better resistance to breakaway.
