FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: for composite bonding, at least two curable prepreg letups are formed, followed by partial curing of at least one letup from 10 to 75%. Each letup includes a plurality of prepreg layers, arranged as multiple tiers. Each prepreg layer comprises a layer of reinforcing fibers impregnated with a curable thermosetting resin matrix. A curable adhesive is applied to at least one prepreg letup, and letups are connected. Complete curing of the connected letups is obtained by application of heat and pressure to form a bonded composite structure. Curing takes place in autoclave or outside of it. The autoclave process includes: coupled prepreg letups assembly on a mould; letups covering by a vacuum bag; placement of covered letups with the mould into an autoclave; creation of vacuum in the vacuum bag autoclave pressure application to compact the prepreg letups. Non-autoclave process includes: coupled prepreg letups covering by a vacuum bag; creation of vacuum with a pressure sufficient only to consolidate the letups; letups heating, whereby the adhesive becomes chemically bonded to the composite matrix bases resin and comprises mechanically diffused portion of this resin.
EFFECT: simplified bonding method, increased strength properties of shear overlapping, fracture resistance.
