FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to determine flow rate and volume of waste water arriving to sewage pump stations (SPS) equipped with reservoirs and operating in the mode of periodical connection (cyclic mode). The substance of the invention consists in the fact that they perform the following to determine the water flow rate mapping at the SPS: calculation of the average flow rate during filling of the receiving reservoir in k-cycle; generation of multiple n pairs of flow rate values and their appropriate arguments in the form of time t, and the waste water flow rate mapping is determined in the form of a function q = f(t), which in points t0, t1, …, tk, …, tn takes values that are closest to values or equal to these values.
EFFECT: expanded area of application of water flow rate determination method.
