FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on measurement of a correction to Doppler frequency and consists in the fact that measurement of correction to Doppler frequency is carried out by response of point reflectors of above-water ships received by a radar image with artificially introduced unambiguity by azimuth, which is achieved by radar image synthesis with frequency below repetition rate of the probing pulse.
EFFECT: invention provides for measurement of speed and azimuthal coordinate of above-water targets during radar survey with synthesized antenna aperture.
