FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: package of metal sheets is placed between the flat grinding plates, compressing the package by means of studs, then the assembled device is uniformly heated in the furnace up to the temperature of plasticity of the levelled metal, then the whole device is taken away and cooled down. After extraction from the furnace the cooling of the device with package of sheets is performed, thus providing conditions for faster cooling of studs that causes occurrence in studs of thermal stresses considerably strengthening the compression of sheets, keeping plasticity because of slowed-down cooling. For implementation of this method the device is used which comprises two massive flat polished plates fitted along the contour with holes into which the studs are inserted compressing the package of sheets made with the through holes used for faster, than of the package of sheets, cooling of studs.
EFFECT: improvement of quality of levelling of metal sheets.
