FIELD: spacecraft.
SUBSTANCE: means of extravehicular activity of an astronaut in a spacesuit, mainly on the surface of the Moon, Mars and other celestial bodies. The proposed helmet contains a helmet with glazing and an arched guard located equidistantly with a gap of 20-25 mm relative to the spherical surface of the glazing. The guard is equipped with a support in the middle of the arc, and the guard and the support are made in the form of polygonal trusses such as a triangular lattice, and their ends are in the form of U-shaped eyelets, with which they are attached to the helmet and the body of the spacesuit with the possibility of repeated installation and dismantling. The response elements on the helmet and the body of the spacesuit are made in the form of bosses with blind threaded holes into which studs are screwed for the eyelets, secured with wing nuts.
EFFECT: increasing the safety of the astronaut and the reliability of protection of the helmet glazing from mechanical damage, including when the astronaut falls with the glazing on an unsafe surface.
