SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image readers. Image capture element generates the magnitude of automatic focusing to be used for image capture in compliance with image signal complying with that received from the first set of pixels among multiple pixels. Additionally, image capture element outputs image signal corresponding to voltage signal received from second set of pixels of multiple pixels as the image signal for alignment over image display screen. In compliance with said magnitude of automatic focusing evaluation, control unit effects control over mechanical-optical unit incorporating the focusing lens and displays the image for alignment over screen in compliance with appropriate signal.
EFFECT: claimed image capture element and device reduce data transfer time and eliminate the loss in image quality.
