FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of inorganic composite oxides. Disclosed method involves combining, over a period of at least 5 minutes, an acidic composition of precursors and a basic composition to obtain a precipitate composition having pH between 5 and 6.75. Acid precursor composition contains precursor of aluminum oxide, precursor of cerium oxide, precursor of zirconium oxide and, optionally, precursors of one or several alloying additives. PH of the composition of the precipitate at the stage of combination does not vary by more than 0.25. Residue is then stabilized by increasing the pH of the residue composition to 8–10, annealing the stabilized residue to obtain an inorganic composite oxide, separating the washing and drying the stabilized residue.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain material with catalytic activity with respect to engine exhaust gases and longer service life.
