FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: bipolar longitudinal rheogram is recorded in a patient lying on his/her back in a shielded room at ambient temperature 22-24°C. One-layer flannel liners wetted in hypertonic solution and covered with circular lead electrodes are applied. To produce a longitudinal rheogram of an upper extremity, an active electrode is applied within an upper one-third of shoulder, whereas an indifferent electrode is arranged within a wrist. A longitudinal rheogram of a lower extremity is recorded with placing the active electrode in an upper one-third of thigh, with the indifferent electrode found directly above ankles. A resistance of the whole extremity is recorded. The electrodes are applied on the upper and lower extremities at the same distance from each other, which is equal to 40 cm on the upper extremity and 60 cm on the lower one.

EFFECT: method enables improving the quality of rheovasogram recording that is expressed by reducing artefacts and useful signal distortion.
