FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electric current is measured when applied reverse-bias voltage is changed, and reverse-bias voltage is determined as reference voltage at backoff point at change in the measured electric current. Voltage produced by addition of the preset value to the determined reference voltage is defined as the recommended operating voltage. The invention also suggests methods for determining operating voltage and matrix of photodiodes, wherein avalanche multiplication factor is preset on the basis of the recommended operating voltage.

EFFECT: invention ensures methods fit for easy and accurate determining of the recommended operating voltage for reverse-bias voltage applied to the matrix of photodiodes and reference voltage to determine the recommended operating voltage, for which avalanche multiplication factor is defined against the preset recommended operating voltage.
