FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method and the device of protection against inflammation as a result of interturn fault of the electrical machine with permanent magnets on the collector-type rotor consist in that the rotor is divided in radial direction into two parts, the internal part of the rotor is rigidly joined with the non-magnetic bushing fixed on the shaft, and external part of the rotor is installed above the internal part so that during the normal operation of the machine the polarity of the poles located on the same radius of the rotor on external and internal parts to be the same. At occurrence of interturn fault the external part of the rotor is unfolded in such position at which the polarity of the poles located on the same radius of the rotor on external and internal parts of the rotor is opposite, then the magnetic field induction in the gap and the current in the stator winding is equal to zero.

EFFECT: elimination of risk of inflammation of the machine at interturn fault of any part of the stator winding and decrease of time of change of the machine mode from the normal mode into emergency mode.
