FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: positions of left and right lateral incisors in an early mixed bite are identified. A Tanaka-Johnston coefficient is calculated. The CSn value for a left canine and the CDn value for a right canine are calculated by formulas. If the CSn and CDn values vary in the range from 0 to 1, correct and timely eruption of canines is predicted. If the CSn and CDn values range from 1 to 2, a probability of the defective position of the canines is predicted. The CSn and CDn values of 2 points or more show the abnormal canine position.
EFFECT: ensuring accurate prediction, eliminating an effective dose on the patient, and timely treatment.
