FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: claimed modifying mix is composed of nitrated titanium-bearing alloy and silicocalcium nitride. Both are produced by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis at the following ratio of components, wt %: nitrated titanium-bearing alloy - 30-95 and silicocalcium nitride - 5-70. Note here that this mix contains the chemical components at the following ratio, wt %: titanium - 18-65, silicon - 2-32, calcium - 1-18, aluminium -3-10, nitrogen - 7-20, iron making the rest. Said titanium-bearing alloy represents a ferrotitanium or wastes of titanium production as the slag of titanium and its alloys fire cutting.
EFFECT: higher reliability of cast parts ay lower temperatures, better mechanical properties of steel, lower porosity, higher cracking resistance, dispersed dendrite cast structure.
