FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: machine for rolling from molten condition contains top 1 and bottom 2 driven water-cooled rollers, cooled crystalliser 7, and device 11 for surface cooling of top roller. The bottom roller 2 is made in form of rod with grooves and holes for the cooling water supply and drainage and with heat-resistant bandage 3. The crystalliser 7 is shaped in accordance with radius of bandage 3 and is made with collars interacting with the bandage surface to prevent liquid metal flow beyond the crystalliser. The crystalliser width is below body length of the bottom roller. Liquid metal supplied from the casting bath 12 passes together with bandage 3 the path from beginning of the insert 10 of the crystalliser to clearance between rollers, is crystallised and subjected to rolling in the clearance between rollers. Rolled aluminium plate is supplied for coiling or cutting.
EFFECT: ingot crystallisation rate increases due to increased length of crystallisation zone.
