FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting, rolling and pressing of metal. Proposed device comprises mixing furnace (1), roll (3) with groove and roll (4) with ledge with cooled cavities (5) to make box-type working gauge. A water-cooled matrix (6) having rectangular cross-section is installed at the output of the gauge in matrix holder (12), in the outlet hole of matrix there is tube (7) with external ribs located in longitudinal grooves of the matrix. Fast-change insert (8) of iron-graphite composite with calibrating band (11) is fixed on the matrix at the output of the gauge to cover the gauge before its opening, and has working channel (9) of specified shape and dimensions. Insert from iron-graphite composite allows reducing frictional force at contact of metal with pressing tool, which allows to reduce deformation force at its extrusion.
EFFECT: increased service life of working tool and reduced power-consuming costs for metal deformation.
