FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer material science, and can be used to manufacture elements of sport bolides, and in machine building to manufacture structural items, requiring high dampening properties, working at high pressures, resistant to impact loads at low temperatures. The composite material is made out of the mechanically activated ultra-high molecular polyethylene, contains reinforcement material, high strength carbon fibres out of phenolic fibres are used as reinforcement material in amount from 1.2 to 5.5 wt % of weight of the ultra-high molecular polyethylene.

EFFECT: material has high impact strength, can absorb major part of the vibration energy, and facilitates oscillations damping, has high abrasive strength and low static compression deformation.
