FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: hydroacoustic positioning system, comprising a towing vessel connected by a wireline to a towed underwater object and buoys with fixed rudders, which are mounted at a given angle, the buoys lying on the sea surface, the number of which is at least three, and having series-connected Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna, GPS module and controller, wherein the towed underwater object is in the form of a multielement digital cable antenna, the towing vessel being equipped with a data processing and synchronisation unit. Each buoy is equipped with, connected in series to the first output of the controller, a generator, an amplifier and a hydroacoustic radiator, as well as a memory unit connected to the second output of the controller, wherein each buoy is connected to the towing vessel by a corresponding rope, wherein the data processing and synchronisation unit is in the form of series-connected GPS antenna, GPS module, controller, data collection module and computer, wherein the first input of the data collection module is connected to the output of the controller, and the second input of the data collection module is connected through a wireline to the output of the multielement digital cable antenna.
EFFECT: enabling positioning of multielement towed hydroacoustic antennae.
