FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes sorting fresh scales, washing with 5% sodium chloride solution at 10-20°C, water duty 1:4, for 1 hour; washing the scales with tap water and leaving the water to drain; performing maceration and demineralisation with an acid solution at pH 2-3 for 20-36 hours at 20-27°C, followed by neutralising with sodium hydroxide to pH 5-7; performing mechanical purification and boiling for 1-3 hours at 65-75°C and intense stirring; purifying the obtained extract at 50-60°C with calcium hydroxide at pH 9-10 and methanoic acid with concentration of 85% at pH 3-4; neutralising the purified glue with sodium hydroxide to pH 5-7 and adjusting concentration of dry substances to 3-30%.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain high-quality glue from scales of different types of fish.
