FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an article (1) comprising a base (2) and a belt (3). The belt (3) is separated from the base (2) and adapted to be placed around the waist of the wearer. The belt (3) comprises a first elastic means (22) to allow stretching of the belt (3) during its use in a lateral direction. The base (2) comprises at least a first layer (4) of comfort material for the user. The base (2) comprises longitudinal sides (5, 6) and lateral side (7, 8) and is divided into a front part (9), a rear part (10) and an intermediate part (11) disposed between the front part (9) and the rear part (10) in the longitudinal direction. The front part (9) and/or the rear part (10) of the base (2) comprises a pair of first means (12) of fastening, separated by a first distance (L1). The base (2) is adapted to be releasably attached to the outer surface (18) of the said belt (3) by the said first means (12) of fastening. The said outer surface (18) comprises the second means (19) of fastening adapted to be releasably attached to the first means (12) of fastening. The base (2) comprises a pair of first marks (13) of stretching related to the first distance (L1). The belt (3) comprises a pair of second marks (16) of stretching, marking the second distance (L2), when the belt (3) is in a loosened state, and a predetermined third distance (L3), when the belt (3) in a stretched state. The first marks (13) of stretching are intended - in the loosened state - for arrangement in conjunction with the second marks (16) of extension or inside the second distance (L2), so the base (2) can be attached to the belt (3) in the loosened state by the first means (12) of fastening, and so the belt (3) can be stretched into a third distance (L3) without adverse affection to the fastening of the first means (12) of fastening.
