SUBSTANCE: method includes: feeding continuous base fabric (1) in longitudinal direction (LD), wherein continuous base fabric (1) has the first and second side edges (2, 3); attaching continuous elastic waist component (4) to base fabric (1) in attachment zone (5); cutting base fabric (1) and attached elastic waist component (4) by cutting along cutting line (LC) through attachment zone (5), as a result, a fabric (8) for the first panels is created, comprising the first panel portion (18) and the first waist portion (28), and fabric (9) for the second panels, comprising the second panel portion (19) and the second waist portion (29), at that, fabric (8) for the first panels and fabric (9) for the second panels extend in longitudinal direction (LD) with the first and second waist parts (28, 29) facing each other when placed side by side; changing the positions of fabric (8) for the first panels and fabric (9) for the second panels in transverse direction (TD), as a result, fabrics (8, 9) for the first and second panels are transferred to a position in which the first and second edges (38, 39) formed by cutting are facing away from each other in transverse direction (TD) and the first and second side edges (2, 3) facing each other in transverse direction (TD); direct or indirect connection of the first side edge (2) of fabric (8) for the first panels with the second side edge (3) of fabric (9) for the second panels, as a result of which a concatenated main fabric (21) is formed.
EFFECT: method is disclosed for manufacturing a base fabric, which can be further converted into a disposable panty product, and a panty product.
