FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to test hollow articles for thermal resistance, which consists in heating of the article from inside and cooling from outside. According to the invention, inside the article they place a heater from a heat capacity material, and the article with the heater is placed into a capsule from heat resistant material filled with inert gas. The capsule with the article is sealed, afterwards the produced assembly is heated to the temperature of not more than the permissible temperature of the capsule, and soaking is carried out at the specified temperature to the condition of temperature balance in all components of the article. Then the assembly is cooled to the specified temperature, with the specified speed, the article is extracted from the capsule, and heat resistance of the article is determined by availability of defects in it above the permissible values.
