TRANSMISSION SYSTEM LUBRICANT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C10M107/28 C10M145/14 C10N20/02 C10N30/02 C10N40/04 C08F220/18

Abstract RU 2568435 C9

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of lubricating a transmission system for a wind turbine with polyalkyl(meth)acrylates as a lubricant, wherein the lubricant used contains at least 30 wt % polyalkyl(meth)acrylate with respect to the total weight of the lubricant, wherein the polyalkyl(meth)acrylate contains: a) 0-25 wt % repeating units of (meth)-acrylate derivatives of formula

wherein R denotes hydrogen or methyl and R1 denotes an alkyl residue with 1-5 carbon atoms, b) 50-100 wt % repeating units of (meth)-acrylate derivatives of formula

wherein R denotes hydrogen or methyl and R2 denotes an alkyl residue with 6-15 carbon atoms, wherein the repeating units of formula (II) are a mixture of straight and branched residues, wherein 5-80% of R2 residues with respect to the weight of the repeating units of formula (II) are branched, and c) 0-50 wt % of repeating units of (meth)-acrylate derivatives of formula

wherein R denotes hydrogen or methyl and R3 denotes an alkyl residue with 16-40 carbon atoms, wherein the polyalkyl(meth)acrylate is obtained in the presence of 2-6 wt % of chain-transfer agents of n-dodecylmercaptan and tert-dodecylmercaptan, with respect to monomers used in polymerisation, and the polyalkyl(meth)acrylate has weight-average molecular weight in the range of 10000 to 18000 g/mol and polydispersity in the range of 1.5 to 1.8.

EFFECT: obtaining lubricating oil having higher compatibility with sealing materials, improved fluid properties at low temperatures and a high viscosity index without reducing stability thereof.
