FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a polyalkyl(meth)acrylate polymer containing a monomer based on polybutadiene, and to a method for its production. A polyalkyl(meth)acrylate polymer is described obtained by polymerization of a monomeric composition containing: a) from 18 to 25 wt. the total weight of the monomeric composition, b) from 51.3 to 52.7% by weight of methyl (meth)acrylate and butyl (meth)acrylate, based on the total weight of the monomeric composition and c) from 23.5 to 29.5% by weight one or more linear or branched C12 -C14 alkyl (meth) acrylates, based on the total weight of the monomeric composition, the weight ratio of methyl (meth) acrylate and butyl (meth) acrylate is from 4.13:1 to 4.11:1, and the polyalkyl(meth)acrylate polymer has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 50,000 to 250,000 g/mol. The use of these polymers as additives is described, which improve the viscosity index in the composition of the lubricant and the composition of lubricants containing the specified polymer.
EFFECT: providing additives that improve the viscosity index for use, providing compositions of lubricants with improved shear resistance compared to additives that improve the viscosity index known from the prior art, while maintaining high values of the viscosity index.
