FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes soaking of activated nonwoven material with solution, which contains silver nitrate and triethelenediamine, thermal processing and cooling. Soaking is carried out to content of catalytic additives in sorbent in quantity (wt %) silver - 1-1.5, triethylenediamine - 1-1.4.
EFFECT: obtained impregnated elastic sorbent has protective characteristics by iodine-131 and methyl iodide-131 radionuclides 1,6-1,9 times higher than of known impregnated elastic sorbents.
