SUBSTANCE: disposable absorbent article (10) extends longitudinally along the longitudinal axis (10y) and sidewards along the transverse axis (10x). The transverse axis (10x) divides the article mentally into a first and a second hemispheres (17, 19). The article (10) comprises a permeable upper sheet (12), an impermeable lower sheet (14) overlying the upper sheet (12) and an absorbent core (16) located between the upper sheet (12) and the lower sheet (14) for storing fluid released by the user of the disposable absorbent article (10). Each pair of lateral regions (35, 36) extends sidewards outwardly from the absorbent core (16). Each lateral region (35, 36) has a first face (IF, EF) made with the ability to face the user during use, and a second front side (EF, IF) opposite the first face side (IF, EF). The article also comprises a skin-friendly adhesive element (50) in the first hemisphere (17, 19) in one of the side areas (35, 36) for temporary attachment of the disposable absorbent article (10) to the user's skin.
