SUBSTANCE: method includes obtaining a sequence (23) of images captured by a video camera (5); extracting a signal (24) from the sequence (23) of images, which characterises local temporal variations in light intensity, colour, bearing the information of the biometric signal of a living subject; applying a video compression technique to image data, providing compressed video data (37) with metadata (34) in order to characterise a biological process in the living subject represented on part of the images.
EFFECT: high efficiency of presenting video data with metadata, characterising processes in the video of subjects.
