FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to an agent representing glycyrrhizic acid amide with 5-aminouracil of formula (1) showing antiviral activity on A/H1N1 influenza virus. The presented agent (GA amide (1)) is 5 times less toxic for MDCK cells (CTD50 300 mcg/ml) than rimantadin, a known antiviral preparation (CTD50 60 mcg/ml), and possesses high antiviral activity; 50% effective concentration (EC50) of GA amide (1) is 0.2 mcg/ml, and in reference preparations: GA - 174 mcg/ml, rimantadin - 12 mcg/ml. GA amide (1) has a higher selectivity index (SI 1500) as compared to the reference preparations and 500 times as high as that of GA (SI 3.0) and 300 times as much as that of rimantadin (SI 5.0).
EFFECT: higher selectivity index of amide.
