FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ceramic articles from powder. Method involves pressing of powder with simultaneous electric pulse sintering. Powder is compacted by means of one or two puncheons. Between the powder and one or both punches there is a layer of material for self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS-material) with auxiliary interlayers or without them. During pressing or before beginning of pressing with electric pulse sintering process of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in layer of SHS-material is started. Auxiliary layers are layers which prevent the SHS material reaction products from bonding with the powder material or layers which provide strong adhesion therewith.
EFFECT: ensuring homogeneity of properties by volume of article.
