FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: needle remover is configured as tooth-flanged profiled openings formed in a division wall of a medical waste container lid. The division wall has two star-shaped openings formed by the teeth along the perimeter of each opening. The openings are connected by a slot. A diameter of the first opening along the outer flanges of the teeth is lesser than a diameter of the second opening along the outer flanges of the teeth. The diameter of the first opening along the outer flanges of the teeth is specified so as to engage long relief flanges formed on a medical needle hook, with the teeth of the first opening when the needle rotates in the first opening, whereas the diameter of the second opening along the outer flanges of the teeth is specified so as to enclose a syringe cannula freely and to incline the syringe in the opening. A cross sectional dimension of the slot is specified so as to enclose the needle.
EFFECT: invention provides more reliable operation and extending the range of products.
