FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: connecting rod 1 comprises the upper 2 and the lower 4 parts. The upper part 2 comprises an upper support site 3 to hold the connecting rod 1 in the body of the jaw crusher, and the lower part 4 comprises a lower support site 5 to hold the connecting rod 1 in the body of the jaw crusher via a spacer plate. At the same time the lower part 4 of the connecting rod 1 comprises side walls 13 and a honeycomb structure open in direction of crushing. A honeycomb structure comprises one or more transverse supports 15 stretching from the first side wall of the connecting rod to the second side wall. The jaw crusher is characterised by the fact that it comprises the above jaw crusher. The crushing plant is characterised by the fact that it comprises the above connecting rod or the jaw crusher. The method consists in using the above jaw crusher or crushing plant in process of crushing with the connecting rod 1.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of crushing by reduction of bending stresses.
