SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, chemical, metallurgical and other industries. Disclosed is a jaw crusher comprising a housing with side walls, a crushing chamber comprising a movable jaw, a base and two side walls, working element located in vertical guides above receiving chamber of crushing chamber is suspended for lifting mechanism fixed on transverse beam of frame installed on accreted upward ends of side walls of crusher. Working element is made in the form of two plates located one under the other and interconnected hingedly by means of hydraulic cylinders. Upper plate is made in the form of rectangular parallelepiped with hydrocylinders with stops arranged at the ends of upper horizontal plane, and lower plate is made in the form of wedge in form of rectangular triangle in longitudinal section, wherein ends of side walls of plates are made in form of rectangular in section guides, located in slots in side walls of crusher.

EFFECT: present invention aims at improving crusher reliability in operation.
