FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: photochemical method of producing stabilised silver nanoparticles includes reacting silver ions with a stabilising agent in an aqueous solution at room temperature under the effect of visible light. The reducing agent and the stabilising agent used are sodium dodecyl sulphate or a polymer product selected from: polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol, starch. The stabiliser-reducing agent is taken in weight excess. The silver ion source used is silver nitrate. The visible light source used is an artificial light source.
EFFECT: invention cuts the duration and power costs of producing aqueous preparations of stabilised silver nanoparticles, which retain stability and bactericidal activity for at least 6 months without further purification and harmful production and environmental factors.
