FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: technique involves carrying out a correlation analysis of a dose of drinking water manganese as related to child's blood manganese; that is combined with a correlation analysis of blood serum gamma-aminobutyric acid and/or glutamate and blood manganese; if patient's whole blood manganese is more than a reference of 0.011 mg/dm3, whereas patient's blood serum contains glutamate in an amount of more than a reference of 83.24 mcmol/dm3, and/or patient's blood serum gamma-aminobutyric acid is less than 0.077 mcmol/dm3, a pre-nosological stage preceding a neurological disorder in the children using high-manganese water, is diagnosed. The invention is applicable to plan hygienic measures focused on prevention of hazardous substance exposure, particularly manganese on children's neuropsychic development.
